Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is the world’s largest salt flat and also a very beautiful place in South America to visit. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes and it is covered by several meters of salt crust. This crust has extraordinary flatness and is also considered one of the world’s largest natural mirrors due to the flatness and light reflection.
