Sleep is very important because it allows your brain to store and analyze all the memories and thoughts you’ve had for that day. Sleep also allows your brain to recall them better in the future. An average adult needs about seven or eight hours of sleep per day. This is the ideal amount which helps your body and brain function regularly. Lack of sleep can have plenty of negative side effects. If you don’t get enough sleep, you will start to produce beta amyloid, a toxic protein that clogs up your brain. This is very bad for your memory because it makes retention and recalling very difficult.
