The Heerstraße or Cherry Blossom Avenue in Germany’s Bonn offers one of the most beautiful sights during springtime. This street is five minutes away from Beethoven’s house. During the 1980s, the city planted ornamental Japanese cherry blossom trees on both sides of the narrow street. Every year, depending on weather but usually around mid-April, the branches burst into millions of delicate flowers. They extend over the street and at some points form a full canopy, turning the street into a really magical place. The blossoms last for around 2 to 3 weeks, and after that the flower petals start to fall like pink snow.
