Feijoada is a typical Portuguese dish - a stew of black beans, dried beef, salted pork parts, like pig's ears, tails and tongues, ham, smoked sausage (chorizo), onions, garlic and chilli peppers.
This traditional soup is usually served with rice, slices of oranges and vegetables, like potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, etc. It is best cooked slowly in a thick clay pot.
Feijoada is salty, and predominantly dominated by the taste of meat and bean stew.
